How to Add a Gorgeous Pop of

Color to Your Eyes

The flowers are blooming, the days are getting longer, and makeup looks are getting more colorful. To celebrate the arrival of spring, I wanted to create a look that represents spring at its best. Just a bit more than a fresh face, but not heavy enough to qualify for nighttime makeup, this look is the perfect balance in between. The pairing of lavender and magenta can lift your mood in an instant, and it’s always fun.

Step 1: Prime eyelids with a shadow primer to intensify and crease-proof the shadows. With a flat shader brush, apply a shimmer highlight on the center of the eyelid. I used "Galore" from the Kat Von D Esperanza palette.
Step 2: Using a pencil brush, apply "Dog Roses" to the inner and outer corners of the eyelid and along the crease.
Step 3: Apply a matte vanilla highlight right below the eyebrows and blend.
Step 4: Create a base with a lavender eyeliner on the bottom lash line.
Step 5: With a short shader brush, apply "Selena" or any other lavender shadow on top of the liner and blend.
Step 6: Line the inner rim of the eye with a skin tone liner to brighten up the eye.
Step 8: Line your upper lid with your favorite black eye liner.
Step 8: Apply two coats of mascara.
Step 9: For a more dramatic effect, apply mascara to your bottom lashes, too.
Step 10: Bat your lashes, and get ready to turn heads when you walk out the door.
